Private Ernest W. Mealin

Private Ernest W. Mealin served during the First World War with 1st Battalion, The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (20727) and The Worcestershire Regiment (75210, renumbered 5242658 in 1920). He served during the Third Anglo-Afghan war (India General Service Medal 1909, with clasp ‘AFGHANISTAN NWF 1919’) attached to 2nd Battalion, The Somerset Light Infantry. 5242658 Private E. W. Mealin, The Worcestershire Regiment attached to Headquarters 10th Indian Infantry Brigade, died of disease or illness at Manzai on 21 June 1922.
