Apologies for the tardy reply. Yes, of course, he does feature. His award was unique in that he was the only officer of 23rd (Northumbrian) Divisional Signals to deploy to France in 1940 in command of the small despatch rider section.

I’m finding this blog of great interest as I’m in the middle of designing a book cover for my own book, which is a historical fiction about my father in the First World War. He was a sapper with the 75th Field Company RE, and spent the duration on the Western Front.
